If you’re already using iCloud to sync your Mac, iPad, and iPhone, you already know what a great tool it is for storing and accessing photos and music. Chances are, you probably also use it to sync your mail, contacts and calendar among your devices, but if that’s all you’re using it for, you’re missing a lot. Here are some suggestions that will make your workday more productive.

Documents

How many times have you wished that you had access to a document when you were out and about and had to tell someone you needed to get back to your laptop or desktop to send it. With iCloud Drive, you can save files from a wide variety of applications directly to iCloud using the Save menu, or manually place any other files in your Drive via the folder it creates on your computer. You can then pick up right where you left off on an iPhone or iPad, or also from any computer – whether Mac or PC – via the iCloud website. You can also edit the documents on iCloud.com, so if you need to make a quick change but all you have is your co-worker’s PC computer, you can still have a full suite of editing capabilities on the website.

iCloud Keychain

With increased warnings about selecting better and more unique passwords for cybersecurity reasons, it is increasingly difficult to remember what you have selected for every website. After all, the most secure passwords are the ones that are hard for a human being to guess. The solution to this problem? iCloud Keychain. iCloud Keychain keeps your Safari website usernames and passwords, credit card information, and Wi-Fi network information up to date across all of your approved devices that are using iOS 7.0.3 or later or OS X Mavericks v10.9 or later. Restore

Have you ever accidentally deleted something, whether it’s a Word file, Power presentation or even your contact list, from iCloud? The new Restore feature allows you to retrieve deleted information for up to 30 days from the date of deletion. You’ll find this feature on iCloud.com under Settings at the bottom left corner of the page.
