Yesterday when I opened up the App store I saw that PvZ had an update. I really expected it to be “Game Center compatibility fixes” or them having to alter the dancing zombie again. Much to my delight it was an actual content update with the promise of more to come.
What’s new in Version 1.6
- Zen Garden – Collect and grow your own collection of plants. Water them every day and they’ll reward you with a bounty of coins to spend in Crazy Dave’s shop. You’ll be able to get the mushroom garden and underwater garden, too!
- Minigames – Crazy Dave’s shop is expanding and will have some brand-new minigames to offer. Will you start with Zombiquarium or Zombotany? How about It’s Raining Seeds?
- Achievements – Oh, you know that with new content come new achievements to unlock. Of course, these new achievements are tied into Game Center so you can show them off to your friends.
- We’ve got tons more stuff coming to Plants vs. Zombies in the near future (including the long-awaited retina display update) but this should keep you busy for now!
The only bummer with this update is it’s only for the iPhone/iPod Touch. No love for the iPad version. If you don’t own this game do yourself a favor and buy it now, you won’t be disappointed.
