After a few back and forths I was able to get my head around what she wanted. Her goal was to be able to interact with her multiple email addresses and have everything in one place, under her one gmail account so she didn’t have to deal with multiple folders for Sent, Drafts and Trash folders. Today I needed to get a 181MB file to a very remote client. I would normally do my iDisk with my FTP home page. It dawned on me that I had gotten a zillion emails saying that they were taking away all those old .mac homepage sites. I briefly opened up iWeb but didn’t see anything glaringly obvious as a FTP front end to share this file on my iDisk. Well maybe I should spend more time on my mobileme.com website as Apple has made this so easy. From your mobileme site you can click on your iDisk and upload a file to your iDisk. Once it’s uploaded you click on the file and click Share. It sends out a fancy little email with a link that allows your user to do one click and it starts downloading to their download folder. Fantastic, no?

Before you get all excited this isn’t about making crazy HTML spamming templates. I’m talking about making an email template for those repetitive emails you have to send out. In my case I’m a technician that watches over some dear, but at times, forgetful clients. OK, who am I kidding, they just don’t read my emails. I used to spend a lot of time searching my email, then copying info, new email, paste email and send. Learn how to make your own templates
