I would love to be able to buy every iPad case that looks interesting, unfortunately they are a bit more expensive so it would be hard to justify. Luckily I have access to quite a few Twitter friends that are willing to share their quick takes on cases they are using. First up we have Peggy (she also contributed to the iPhone 4 case reviews)::

I have Apple’s case for my iPad and I like it. I like that it props up at a slight angle for typing and stands up for viewing. I like that I don’t have to remove the iPad to use it. It’s not super bulky…I can carry it around in my handbag. It does get marked up easily, so I clean it regularly. Also…little tip…I keep a lens cleaning cloth tucked in the back for cleaning the iPad screen.

Next up we have Joe::

Black Elan Passport by Griffin.
I like the padding, and that it covers the screen completely. Not so likely to use the slots for cards/notes but the case is great.

Next we have Brian::

Marware Eco-Vue for iPad that I have is awesome. “kickstand” = A+, I use the kickstand all the time as I prefer landscape use of my iPad. It’s soft inside and very durable leather outside.
Only negative is the strap to hold the iPad in; it needs to be wider. hasn’t come close 2 falling out, just slips a little.

Next we have Matt(he also contributed to the iPhone 4 case reviews)::

iSkin Vu for iPad.

The Good:
-It looks “cool” and will remind you of the colors of the original iMacs (partly why I chose it).
-It does not make your iPad feel much if at all heavier than it already is.
-You do not have to remove the entire case to be able to dock it with an iPad dock.
-A mixture of soft and hard plastics (hard on the back mostly) and feels good in your hands and does not feel “cheap” to me.

The Bad:
-They could have done a better job on the cut outs/bumps for the buttons. To access the orientation switch and the earphone port, you better have a nail to pull open that flap or it is going to be a pain in the butt to access them! Also, they should have made bigger bumps for the volume buttons as you really need fight a bit to push down through the case to lower/raise the volume. That is my biggest complaint.
-Pricey! This thing is $64.99 + shipping from iSkin.com and is pretty expensive all things considered especially since this is not a “functional” case in the sense it can be propped up. However, it can be found cheaper at sites like buy.com or macmall.com.
