Facebook help:: How to hide FarmVille, Mob Wars or other unwanted notifications.

I know this isn’t exactly Apple or Mac related, just think of it as a Facebook Public Service Announcement. Being technical people come to you for anything tech related. I don’t always know the answers but I like to find them. And now I present to you the first in hopefully many mac-fusion TV videos::

Oh and FYI I really like the word “all” in that last slide… ;-)

    Well this not longer works with the flipping NEW layout and this is BAD!

    Actually it looks like it still does work. Just hover over the right side of the Farmville notification (or other unwanted stuff in your newsfeed) and you will get a “hide” pop up. I just unhid Farmville to test it out and it did work. I do agree that their constant change of its user interface is LAME. I’m also fairly sure they are as not concerned about our privacy settings as most people are. Let me know if you want to see a copy of the screenshot I just took.     This game is one of the reasons I shift to Facebook lite, I got annoyed by my buddies activity feeds getting filled by Farmville messages, and I’m considering about leaving Facebook altogether, all these apps are a pain in the butt, I hope there was an option to shut off updates from certain games (and if there is I’d like to know where I can change it).

    Facebook lite does NOT block these notifications. You may need to watch this video again as it shows you how to block unwanted facebook notifications ;-)
