I can’t tell you how many times I sit down at someone’s computer and their Mighty Mouse only scrolls in one direction. There’s a quick, very easy fix that will bring back your scrolling in all directions. Take a clean piece of paper. Turn your mouse upside down, apply a little bit of pressure and roll that ball all over the paper. If you’re doing it right you should see faint little marks like in the image above. Now plug it back in and give it a whirl. This fixes 99% of the “broken” Mighty Mice I see.
